Jacqui BurgeJacqueline Burge is the Senior Director of Facilities at, one of the most successful companies in online education today. Through a comprehensive library of instructional videos taught by industry experts, teaches technology, design, and business skills to millions of individual, corporate, academic, and government subscribers.

Jacqueline oversees buildings, security, hospitality, shipping, and sustainability for, a role that has grown with the company. What began as a single office is now a large business with over 400 employees in offices all over the world, including headquarters, a 12-acre state-of-the-art facility in Carpinteria, Calif.

In addition to creating comfortable, friendly work environments where staff and guests feel equally welcome, Jacqueline has implemented a number of green initiatives—including electric-vehicle charging, recycling, composting, carpooling, and resource conservation programs—that has made the largest green certified business in Santa Barbara County since 2012.

“Sustainability is not a catchphrase,” she says. “It’s a way of moving through the world with your values. In the end, it’s actually easier to live a strong philosophy of giving back and being sustainable than it is to be a throw-away consumer.”
